how do i PROVIDE SPECIFIC CARE INSTRUCTIONS FOR My pup?

Once your booking is confirmed, we will ask you to submit care instructions via our “Pre-Stay Care Form”. This form provides us with input regarding your dog’s eating, sleeping, exercise habits, etc. to assure the happiest and most comfortable experience while at Happy Dog House.

Will I get daily updates during my dogs stay?

Yes! If you would like to receive updates about your dog’s stay, we are happy to send an update with photos and videos up to 3 times per day. If you have concerns or would like to talk about what you’d like to be updated on, let us know!

What is the sleep situation like for the dogs?

We will accommodate your dog’s sleep needs to the best of our ability. Does your dog need a snuggle buddy at night? We are on it. Does he sleep in a bed with you? We can work with that! If your dog has a special bed or kennel, please bring it with you when you drop your pup off.

what is the potty situation like for the dogs?

Within our nicely-sized backyard, we have a special turf area (approximately 30 sq ft) designed specifically for Tucker and friends to go potty. We keep it nice and clean so the dogs always feel comfortable to use. In addition, we like to take our pups on daily strolls around the neighborhood (if acceptable for you) to help dogs relieve themselves.

CAN YOU describe the indoor and outdoor living space?

While we have over 1500 sq feet of open-concept indoor living space (single level, so no stairs for pups to cope with), we also have an adequate-sized front yard, back yard and side yard which is all fenced and gated. Our side yard is over 80 feet long for more active dogs to stretch their legs. Also, we run a very clean and organized household. You can be sure that your pup will be in a healthy, safe and clean living space.

DO YOU TRAVEL FOR DOG CARE ?

At this time, we are currently setup to provide in-home dog care at Happy Dog House only. Once your booking is confirmed, I will provide you with our address for drop-off and pick-up coordination.

My dog needs medication. Is that an issue?

Not at all! We will give medication to all dogs as needed. Please let us know ahead of time if your dog will be on a special medication or needs medical accommodations.

How many dogs stay overnight at one time?

We understand that dogs may be feeling anxious without their owner and in a new space. With that in mind, we will only allow 1-2 dogs max to stay overnight at one time. We strive to give our guests focused attention and LOTS of pets and belly rubs. If there is another dog staying at Happy Dog House while you’re dog will be staying with us, we will let you know ahead of time.

DO YOU HAVE SPECIFIC PICKUP AND DROP-OFF HOURS?

I do my best to accommodate your suggested pickup and drop-off times whenever possible. Please keep in mind my additional half-day charge may apply to any drop-offs before 12pm and pickups after 12pm. See my Pricing page for more details.

How does payment work?

Happy Dog House accepts cash, check, Zelle or Venmo due on the day of pick up.

Do you provide food for my dog?

We ask that you provide your dog his/her own food so that we can ensure they will eat while you are away.

My dog has more needs than the average. Is that ok?

We love and accept all dogs with all needs! Please let us know ahead of time if your pup needs extra care and we will make sure that we can cover those needs.
